Here are some shooting techniques that can be used as guidelines to help budding photographers to improve photography skills.

1. Images closer to the Point Of Interest (POI, the main focus in photo)

Every time you look at the object, move a little closer (can also use the zoom) that frame or photo look is full of objects you want to focus, do not leave a lot of empty space in a frame or photo as it will look unattractive by other people and objects look no detail. Consider the two photos below, which do you think is more interesting views? Second photo more beautiful and interesting to look at instead?

2. Portrait quickly to capture the moment

Don't take too long in making settings on the camera as you can lose a great moment on your object, do the photo shoot as soon as possible and as quickly as possible. You do not have to worry about taking too many pictures because pictures are not good will be deleted. Importantly portrait first, then later studied each photo was taken.

3. Be careful in composing the object in the picture

If you want to commercialize your photos, do all efforts towards the composition of your photos so that the object looks balanced and beautiful because people respond more photos that have all the elements are balanced. Strive photo eye directed towards the object is focused by using a line or pattern.

4. Selective in presenting elements in photos

Selection and keep the elements that can disrupt and divert the attention of people to the main attraction as the focus of the image or Point of Interest. The easiest way to do this is to perform composition through the viewfinder of your camera, slide the position where you will be photographed to avoid elements that could interfere with the main object in the viewfinder as the electrical wires, tree branches were visible from the side of your hand or strap your camera looks through the viewfinder. Another way to select elements in an image is by doing photo editing using software to eliminate the elements that interfere with the beauty of your photos.

5. Focus on an object

Do exercises taking pictures with different aperture and check the photo to learn how Depth-of-Field (DoF, the depth of focus photo) influence the outcome of your scene. You will find that the Depth-of-Field smaller or narrower (smaller f-stop, eg F2.8) to produce images that all the focus is on your object and its background will look blurry, photo technique is suitable for photographing children you, your pet, photo model, etc.. As for the Depth-of-Field larger (larger f-stop, eg f22) will produce images with a focus on all areas that are visible in the viewfinder, the technique is suitable for photographing landscapes.

6. Experimenting with Shutter Speed

One aspect of the most basic and fun in the world of photography is that you have the ability to slow down over time or capture split second object. Use the techniques of slow shutter speed and a tripod to create beautiful photo of a river or stream techniques fast Shutter Speed (1/500 or more) to capture moving objects.

7. Note the direction of the light source

Note the position of the sun to see the type of light you use the photograph. If you want to produce a silhouette doing a photo shoot with the sun is behind the object, otherwise if you want the light to focus on objects then doing a photo shoot with the position of the sun is in front of or beside objects. In addition to the light from the sun, the light can be created by using lamps and lamp usage is more flexible in determining the direction of the light so that it can produce a better picture.

8. Watch the weather

Look beyond the situation and decide whether you want to have a background the sky in an image or not. If cloudy, avoid as much as possible the sky is not captured by your camera and avoid a background photo. When a sunny day, do a photo shoot with placing the sky as one element in your photo. If your camera allows for the use of filters, use a polarizer filter. This will help you make the sky bluer, richer color contrast and other beautiful effects.

9. Use the camera mode that suitable for you

Each camera there are several shooting modes, do not just focus on using the mode "AUTO" or "program" that is automatic because it will produce images that are sometimes not match what you want. Use a semi-automatic modes (like Aperture Priority; Av, Shutter Speed Priority; Tv, etc) so you can control the settings of some to get a photo more beautiful and to your liking.
